RolesNorthwood University's DeVos Graduate School of Management has an immediate need for qualified faculty to teach in our DBA, MBA and MS programs. The ideal candidate will have graduate level academic credentials in Analytics or a related field as well as a demonstrated ability to teach in multiple disciplines. Willingness to embrace our unique problem-based pedagogy is essential to achieve the transformational competencies that DeVos Graduate School students accomplish during and as a result of their program. Faculty members also serve as Dissertation Committee Members and Chairs and must have a commitment to the long-term success of our students.
ResponsibilitiesThe candidate hired in this position will be a key member of our faculty and should be comfortable in representing the graduate school and our programming to internal and external constituents. Full-time faculty members have a role in advising, admissions, assessment and mentoring adjunct faculty.
Qualifications- A Ph.D. or DBA in a Business Analytics or related discipline from a regionally accredited institution with substantive academic or professional experience in at least one of the following:
- Leadership
- Economics
- Research Methods
- Finance
- Marketing / Strategy
- Operations
- Human Resources
- Experience serving as DBA/PhD Dissertation Committee chair and/or committee member.
- Experience designing, developing and implementing graduate level courses.
- An understanding of LMS systems, especially Blackboard.
- Preference is given to those who have extensive business and on-ground / online teaching experience as well as the relevant degree.
- Candidates must also be comfortable facilitating problem-based learning and learner-center classrooms.
