Position Responsibility Summary:

  • Primary Function - Enterprise DB Operations (PWS 1.16.7.1): Manages enterprise database operations including capacity planning, performance optimization, problem prediction, and maintenance coordination across Financial Management, Logistics, Configuration Management, Program Management, Contracts Management, and Systems Engineering applications.
  • Cross-Functional DB Backup & Security (PWS 1.16.8, 1.16.7.3):** Cross-trained in Backup and Recovery Management to ensure database backup schedules and data integrity checks align with the enterprise backup strategy, enabling the DBA to execute database-level recovery during contingency events. Cross-trained in application security to manage database-level access controls and privileges in direct coordination with the Cybersecurity team, preventing authorization gaps during application updates.
