Schedule: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday - hours may vary.

Pay Rate: $18.50/hourly

Job Description: Under the direct supervision of the Facility Manager and the day-to-day direction of the Client, the Hybrid Day Porter is directly responsible for the cleanliness and general building repair and maintenance of the facility, so it is in good condition daily for the safety and comfort of the building occupants.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Repairing door hardware, locksets, handles, closers, etc.
  • Routine plumbing repairs in restrooms, water fountains, and prep kitchen
  • Routine electrical repairs, including lamp replacements, resetting circuit breakers
  • HVAC Filter Replacements
  • Vinyl floor tile repairs
  • Ceiling tile replacements
  • Drywall repairs/painting
  • Operate Building Fire Alarm System
  • Operate Building Emergency Generator
  • Inspection of fire extinguishers on a monthly basis.
  • Snow removal from sidewalks, curbs, and loading dock areas using powered and manual equipment.
  • Lawn maintenance, i.e., mowing, weeding, trimming, etc.
  • Police grounds and entrances to buildings for debris, clutter, trash, and dispose of such items in the appropriate refuse area.
  • Police and clean restrooms and re-stock if necessary (schedule to be determined between Client and Contractor).
  • Mop spills when needed.
  • Perform cleaning and disinfecting rotation of HTSs (high-touch surfaces).
  • Follow and perform clean-up procedures in accordance with OSHA STD 29 CFR 1910.1030 standards (Bloodborne Pathogens/Bodily Waste Clean-Up) regarding cleaning areas affected by bodily fluid accidents.
  • Clean Eating Areas/Break Rooms/Vending Areas.
  • Set-up and/or breakdowns for special events/meetings and light maintenance duties when requested.
  • Receive and store away supply deliveries.
  • Responsible for performing work safely and reporting to Management any observed safety and security problems
  • Lifting and moving of materials, supplies, and equipment minimum of 55 lbs.
  • On call and carrying a mobile telephone to respond to calls from the security monitoring firm, answering services, and PMM.
  • Maintain accurate lists, security, and stocking levels of building tools and consumable supplies.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 to 60 pounds.
