Job description

Role: Automated Software Tester

Location: San Francisco CA (MUST BE in office 4 days a week)

Type of Employment: Contract

Duration: 12 Months

Interview Process: two steps (video)

Description:

We are seeking an Automated Software Tester with strong expertise in Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, SQL, and AWS to support Quality Engineering initiatives for enterprise applications.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of Software Testing/QA Automation experience
  • Hands-on experience with Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, and Cucumber (Gherkin)
  • Strong SQL skills for Oracle/PostgreSQL data validation
  • Experience writing feature files and step definitions
  • Expertise in functional, regression, integration, and API testing
  • Experience with ALM, Jira, defect lifecycle management, and AWS environments
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, Java, SQL, RestAssured, and Postman

Responsibilities:

  • Design Gherkin feature files and develop automated test scripts
  • Build and execute UI, API, and end-to-end automation suites
  • Validate backend data using complex SQL queries
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing
  • Track defects using ALM/Jira and support release readiness
  • Test applications across AWS environments and collaborate with development teams

Preferred: AWS, Terraform, DevOps pipelines, Jira X-Ray, FedCash/Finance domain, resiliency testing.
