Conveyor Concepts of Michigan (CCMich) is a growing, engineer-driven manufacturing company that designs and builds custom material handling systems, structural steel platforms, crossovers, stairs, and conveyor equipment for customers across North America.
We are looking for a Parts Washer / Paint Prep Technician to join our Paint Department. This position plays an important role in our manufacturing process by ensuring parts are properly cleaned, organized, and prepared before moving into paint.
This is a hands-on, physically active position that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. If you enjoy staying busy, take pride in quality work, and want to be part of a team that builds custom equipment from start to finish, this could be a great fit.
No prior parts washing experience is required. We are willing to train the right candidate.

You will be expected to:

Attention to detail is critical in this role. Parts must be thoroughly cleaned and properly organized to ensure quality paint finishes and efficient production flow.

Schedule
Monday – Thursday
5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Friday
5:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Friday overtime is regularly scheduled and expected as part of the normal workweek.
Pay amp; Benefits
Pay Range: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on experience)

Key ResponsibilitiesParts Washing amp; Paint Preparation
-
Wash and clean parts using pressure washers, solvents, and foam cleaning systems
-
Remove dirt, scale, oil, and other contaminants prior to painting

Dry parts and prepare them for the next stage of production

Verify parts are thoroughly cleaned and ready for paint
Material Handling amp; Organization
-
Stage parts on hooks, racks, saw horses, and other fixtures for painting
-
Keep parts organized by job and paint color
-
Move materials safely throughout the department
-
Operate forklifts to transport materials and finished parts
-
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Team Support
-
Communicate with painters, wash helpers, and supervisors regarding workflow priorities
-
Assist with general shop duties as assigned
-
Help maintain efficient flow of work through the Paint Department
-
Support department goals related to quality, safety, and productivity
What We're Looking For
-
High school diploma or GED preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of forklift experience required

Forklift certification will be renewed through Conveyor Concepts upon hire
-
Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
-
Ability to stand and remain physically active throughout the workday

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to maintain organization and attention to detail while managing multiple jobs and paint colors simultaneously

Good communication and teamwork skills
