Day Shift Excavator OperatorLocation: Reclamation CrewPosition Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our surface coal mining team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating excavators to perform a variety of tasks including clearing and grubbing timber, pond construction, ditch construction, scaling walls, and pond maintenance. This position works a standard day shift with a consistent schedule to support safe and efficient mining operations.

Work Schedule
  • Standard day shift: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts minus 30 minutes for lunch)
  • Work week: Monday through Friday, 10-hour shifts
  • Saturday: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM (8-hour shift)
  • Off every other Saturday
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate excavators safely and efficiently to perform clearing and grubbing of timber and vegetation.
  • Construct and maintain ponds to support mining operations and environmental compliance.
  • Excavate and construct ditches for drainage and water management.
  • Perform scaling of walls to ensure safe working conditions and prevent rock falls.
  • Conduct routine pond maintenance including sediment removal and structural repairs.
  • Inspect equipment daily and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications amp; Skills
