Job Title: Forklift Operator / Packaging Contractor


Location: El Paso, IL 
Shift Options:

  • Day Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (training shift for all new hires)

  • Evening Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM (begins late September)

  • Midnight Shift: 11:30 PM – 8:00 AM

Pay Rates:

  • Day Shift: $19.00/hour

  • Evening/Midnight Shifts: $20.25/hour (includes $1.25 shift differential)


Position Overview

Seeking Forklift Operators / Packaging Contractors to join our Dry Herbicide Packaging Operations team in El Paso, IL. This role is responsible for safely operating equipment on the packaging lines and supporting warehouse activities, including forklift operation, palletizing, and general production tasks.

This is a hands-on role in a manufacturing environment, requiring strong safety awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks. Candidates must be motivated, reliable, and capable of working an 8-hour fixed shift (or 12-hour shifts if business needs arise).

Note: All workers must complete their first week of onboarding/training on the Day Shift (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday).


Key Responsibilities
  • Operate assigned equipment on the Dry Herbicide packaging lines safely and efficiently.

  • Load/unload materials, freight, and finished products.

  • Perform packaging tasks including loading containers, packing boxes, stacking pallets, and operating stretch wrap machines.

  • Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting of process equipment.

  • Collect samples, move raw materials, and transfer materials to vessels as directed.

  • Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area (general housekeeping).

  • Participate in root cause analysis and immediate response activities as required.

  • Complete all site certification requirements in a timely manner.

  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.


Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive motion/lifting tasks (with or without accommodation).

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and follow safety guidelines.

  • Steel-toe shoes required.
