Job description

Role:

As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for creating, proving, and optimizing CNC programs for Haas machining centers using Mastercam. This role directly supports production by ensuring programs are efficient, accurate, and ready for the floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for Haas equipment
  • Generate safe, efficient, and collision-free programs
  • Lead CNC process launches to ensure smooth implementation
  • Develop high-performance toolpaths that maximize machining efficiency and capability
  • Support setup and prove-out of new and existing programs
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and improve cycle times
  • Work closely with operators to ensure successful program execution
  • Evaluate and implement new tooling and machining strategies to improve performance and efficiency
  • Support fixture design as needed to improve manufacturability
  • Maintain program documentation and revision control

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with Mastercam (milling required, turning preferred)
  • Experience programming Haas CNC machines
  • Understanding of G-code and machining fundamentals
  • Ability to troubleshoot and improve machining processes
  • Experience with 3-axis machining (5-axis a plus)
  • SolidWorks experience preferred but not required
  • Engineering degree NOT required (experience prioritized)
