Position Summary:

We are seeking a hands‑on, engaged Maintenance Supervisor who will lead our maintenance team in ensuring high asset reliability and operational excellence across our Rocky Mount facilities. In this role, you will be a visible leader, a strategic planner, and a technical problem-solver responsible for aligning KPIs, optimizing resources, and driving continuous improvement.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive leader who thrives in a collaborative manufacturing environment and enjoys being close to the operation.

What You’ll Do:

Team Leadership & Development:
  • Lead and develop a team of 12 maintenance associates, including a maintenance planner/scheduler and a maintenance buyer/spare parts clerk.
  • Assign, coordinate, and prioritize daily maintenance activities across all shifts.
  • Oversee scheduling to ensure consistent coverage and efficient workflow.
  • Hire, train, coach, and evaluate team members; foster a culture of safety, accountability, and engagement.
  • Set clear goals aligned with departmental KPIs and monitor progress.
  • Maintain active presence on the production floor to support the team and reinforce communication.
  • Hold regular touchpoints with all three shifts to ensure alignment and seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align on priorities and share updates.
  • Provide leadership support across all shifts and remain available by phone for urgent needs or emergencies.

Equipment Facilities & Technical Expertise:
  • Lead the Predictive & Preventive Maintenance (PPM) program (SAP) and ensure fast, effective response to equipment issues to minimize production impact.
  • Support capital planning by identifying and recommending equipment and asset upgrades. 
  • Coordinate and oversee external contractors.
  • Manage maintenance operations across three facilities, including the main plant and two nearby buildings.
  • Stay current with evolving industrial technologies and maintain strong technical expertise in: 
    • Electrical controls: PLCs, HMIs, motors, drives.
    • Industrial systems: HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics.
  • Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and able to read mechanical and electrical blueprints.

What You Bring:
  • Experience leading teams, developing KPIs, managing projects, and coaching technical staff.
  • Strong background in manufacturing and maintenance operations.
  • Proven track record of supervising direct reports and driving team performance.
  • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor.
