Job Summary:
JOB SUMMARY
Coordinates and supports individual patients throughout point of care program(s) to ensure an exceptional level of patient care is provided while ensuring program goals are effectively executed with minimal guidance. Ensures effective communication with providers, patients, and care givers and assures coordination of diagnostic studies and follow-up appointments throughout the course of treatment for a specific patient population.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Setup and records PSG's for all types of studies such as OSA, MSLT, CPAP titration, etc. according to department protocols.
• Performs all tasks associated with maintaining a functioning sleep center in accordance with established department and hospital policies and procedures.
• Additional duties for scoring position.
• Additional Duties for OCST responsibilities.
• The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned.
TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
• Diagnostic Testing (Novice): Demonstrates proficiency of diagnostic testing in practical applications. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering results.
• Patient Evaluation (Fundamental Awareness): Has limited experience, training, direct exposure, or past experience conducting a simple patient evaluations. Capable of identifying the health risks and patient needs.
• Medical Terminology & Documentation (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate medical terminology and documentation in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
• Equipment Maintenance (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate the ability to maintain equipment, products, or systems in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Assures that parts inventory is sufficient.
