ABOUT THE UNIT

The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation (CR) department at Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) offers a structured exercise program designed for patients with heart disease, lung disease or peripheral artery disease. Accredited by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR), our program helps patients achieve optimal fitness levels and make important lifestyle changes. Our interdisciplinary team includes exercise physiologists, nurses, respiratory therapists and dietitians, all working under the direction of a cardiologist and pulmonologist. We provide individualized care plans that include exercise training, education and counseling, supporting patients in improving their health and quality of life. Our unit is known for its comprehensive approach to patient rehabilitation and recovery. A typical shift would involve critical thinking skills, patient assessment and outcome planning, heart rhythm monitoring, educating patients in the program as well as hospital inpatients, communicating with insurance companies, and scheduling patients.

Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse Tennessee Required

Associate's Nursing Preferred

1 Year Nursing Experience for FT Positions Preferred

2 Years Med-Surg Nursing Experience for Float Pool Positions Required

1 Year Nursing Experience for PRN Positions Required
