Position Overview

Mercyhealth is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse for a Skilled Nursing travel assignment in Janesville, Wisconsin. This opportunity is ideal for an RN who thrives in a collaborative patient-centered environment and is committed to delivering high-quality care across skilled nursing populations.

The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams. Travelers may occasionally float to other inpatient units based on census needs.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct patient care utilizing the nursing process
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with facility policies and state regulations
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Accurately document patient care and clinical findings
  • Educate patients and families regarding care plans and discharge needs
  • Participate in quality improvement and shared governance initiatives
  • Support patient safety and positive patient experiences through critical thinking and effective communication
Requirements
  • Active Wisconsin RN license required
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required
  • Education verification required
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred
  • Skilled Nursing or inpatient nursing experience preferred
  • Ability to float to other inpatient units as needed
Assignment Details
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • Day shift schedule
  • Every third weekend required
  • Holiday rotation required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Facility does not accept 1099 candidates
