Full-Time | Park Manor Health & Rehabilitation | Northport, AL

Base Pay: $31.00-$40.40 per hour (based on experience)

Shift: 7:00 AM-3:00 PM

Park Manor Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) Float Nurse to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team on the 7:00 AM-3:00 PM day shift.

As a Float Nurse, you'll provide clinical support across multiple nursing units, ensuring residents receive exceptional care while helping maintain efficient daily operations. This position is perfect for an RN who enjoys variety, thrives in different clinical environments, and enjoys mentoring fellow caregivers.

Registered Nurse (RN) โ€“ Float Nurse Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and long-term care.
  • Float between nursing units to provide clinical support where needed.
  • Assess, monitor, and document changes in resident conditions.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to physician orders.
  • Develop and update individualized resident care plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate electronic nursing documentation.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
  • Respond to changes in resident condition and provide sound clinical judgment.
  • Promote resident safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, post-acute care, or geriatric nursing is preferred but not required.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly while working across multiple nursing units.
