About Rainbow Omega, Inc.
Rainbow Omega, Inc. is a faith-based, non-profit organization providing vocational and residential care programs to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our two specialized Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs) house 10 and 15 residents respectively, fostering a community of safety, medical excellence, and deep compassion. We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide critical nighttime clinical oversight and support to our residents.

Position Summary
The ICF Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering and coordinating comprehensive nursing care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities during the overnight hours. This position ensures continuous health monitoring, emergency triaging, medication administration, and overnight protocol execution, allowing an empathetic nurse to focus on the health, safety, and comfort of our residents while they rest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Care amp; Monitoring: Deliver professional nursing care, manage nocturnal clinical needs, administer medications, and closely monitor the overall medical wellness of residents during the night.
  • Overnight Health Oversight: Manage shift-level clinical operations and act as the primary medical authority on-site for any urgent changes in resident health.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain meticulous medical records, charts, narcotic counts, and documentation in strict accordance with state licensing and ICF/IID regulations.
  • Staff Guidance: Provide clear medical direction and clinical support to direct care staff on duty regarding specialized resident health needs and safety protocols.
Job Requirements amp; Qualifications
  • Licensure: Must possess and maintain a valid, active Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) License.
  • Licensing: Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED equivalent, and a degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Experience: Experience working with intellectually or developmentally disabled individuals is preferred but not required.
  • Background Checks: A clear pre-employment background check and a clean drug screen are strict conditions of employment.
