Registered Nurse - Pediatric Oncology (Day Shift)
Location: Atlanta, GA, 30329
Duration: 13 week contract
Shift: 3x12, Day shift | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekly Pay: $2,088 - $2,268; (Negotiable based on experience)  

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit in Atlanta, GA for a 13-week day shift contract. This role requires a strong background in pediatric oncology nursing and the ability to provide specialized care to children undergoing cancer treatment.


Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, age-appropriate nursing care to pediatric oncology and hematology patients
  • Administer chemotherapy and other medications as per APHON guidelines
  • Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in condition
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including physicians, social workers, and child life specialists
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR system
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and hospital safety standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience preferred
  • Must have recent Pediatric Hematology/Oncology experience
  • Current RN license in good standing
  • Certifications Required:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Certification
  • Flu Shot Required prior to start
  • Proficient in Epic EMR​​​​
