Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical/Surgical unit with day shift scheduling, Epic charting experience preferred, and a 1:6 patient ratio.

Details
  • 32-bed Medical/Surgical unit in a hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM)
  • 36 or 48 hours per week available
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
  • Rapid response team activation responsibilities
  • Epic EMR used; experience preferred
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floating to like units required
  • 6 weekend shifts required within every 6-week period
Requirements
  • Active NM or Compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (pending acceptable)
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
  • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
  • No travel pairs or groups accepted
  • RTO is limited to no more than 3 days auto-approved per contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
