Job description

Quality Technician

·       The job location is in Plano, Texas

·       The pay rate is 20.00 to 22.00 an hour

·       Monday thru Friday: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

·       Must be available for OT

Position Summary:

The Quality Technician I is responsible for maintaining production quality standards and supporting quality documentation. This role prepares and updates quality records, monitors production quality performance, identifies opportunities for improvement, and participates in Return Material Authorization (RMA), Material Review Board (MRB), quality audits, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) compliance, and quality reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the ability to solve practical problems and make logical decisions.
  • Support corrective action responses as required.
  • Communicate with internal departments and occasionally with vendors, certification agencies, inspection agencies, and audit organizations.
  • Ensure daily tasks align with company quality standards.
  • Support customer satisfaction by maintaining product quality.
  • Identify and resolve low-complexity product and process-related issues.
  • Assist Quality Engineers with manufacturing and operational activities.
  • Perform a variety of quality inspections and audits.
  • Create quality reports and analyze manufacturing data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in document control activities.
  • Attend Material Review Board (MRB) meetings to ensure timely disposition of nonconforming materials.
  • Support the Return Material Authorization (RMA) process to ensure timely product returns.
  • Assist with calibration of inspection and test equipment alongside internal departments and third-party vendors.
  • Support the Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) compliance program.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience performing inspections, audits, and quality documentation.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing quality systems, MRB, RMA, ESD, and document control.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
