Job description

Merrimack Autism Consultants is currently hiring full-time MALE behavior therapists to provide 1:1 in-home ABA services. We are dedicated to providing quality ABA services to families affected by autism spectrum disorders and other developmental or behavioral disorders. Our culture is to empower and support employees through comprehensive training ensuring exceptional care. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and previous experience working with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum.

Sessions are scheduled Monday–Friday from 7:00–9:00 AM and 3:00–7:00 PM (split shift). Weekend availability may be required as needed. Rate of pay is between $19-$25 per hour and is based on level of education and years of experience.

What will you do?

  • Behavior therapists work 1:1 directly with clients with autism using individualized behavior analytic techniques created by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.

  • Therapy sessions are done in the client's home and sometimes in the community.

  • Provide support and guidance to the parent or caregiver to guide implementing the behavior reduction and/or skills acquisition plan.

  • The behavior therapist will collect data daily to ensure client's progress is monitored and program objectives are met according to individualized plan.

  • Communicate in a timely manner to both the client's family and supervisor.

  • Complete 40 hours of RBT training and pass the test with 90 days of hire.

Qualifications:

  • You are dedicated, reliable and enthusiastic.

  • You must be 18 years old or older.

  • You are a Registered Behavior Therapist or have 3 months working with children with autism.

  • You are interested in working with children, adolescents, or adults with autism or other developmental disabilities.

  • This is a great position for people who have worked as teachers, paraprofessionals, camp counselors, nannies and respite providers.

  • You have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

  • An associates degree in human, social or educational services or completed a bachelor's degree in psychology or behavior management or background in psychology or applied behavior analysis.

  • You have professional experience or have volunteered with people with developmental disabilities.

  • You are able to make a 6-month commitment to our clients.

  • You have access to reliable transportation.

  • You have authorization to work in the US.

  • You can pass a background check.

  • CPR Certified

Not Required but preferred:

Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis a plus.
