Job description

If supporting and mentoring children and adolescents is your passion, then you’ll enjoy being a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health. Here is your chance to apply your knowledge and skills related to behavioral interventions and work 1:1 with children/adolescents and truly make a difference in the lives of others!

You will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need who have challenging behaviors.

Every day as an RBT you will:

  • Ensure the safety and supervision of the children
  • Work with children on a 1:1 basis in a school environment
  • Provide interventions to children with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and speech and language disabilities
  • Deescalate and mitigate behaviors using positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS)

You will be offered:

  • Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (52 week year round position)
  • Pay Rate: $24.00- $27.36/hr (based upon experience)

Devereux Center for Autism Research and Education Services (CARES) is an educational program licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education that provides services to students, ages 5 to 21, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. EDUCATION: Requires a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

EXPERIENCE: At least 1 year of work experience with children or adolescents preferred.
