Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, the Concierge shall ensure total satisfaction of the patient and guest experience, delivering the exemplary customer service to all guests and stakeholders of a Henry Ford Hospital. He or she will greet guests in a cheerful and professional manner and will assess and anticipate guest's needs. The Concierge will be resourceful and creative to find ways of satisfying guests and stakeholder's needs, inquiries or requests with professionalism and efficiency. Routinely circulates through the hospital to ensure that each patient and their familie's service exceed their expectations. He or she is a source of information from both internal and external customers. He or she will be responsible for all customer feedback addressing challenges as needed and ensuring customer satisfaction. Will also be responsible for ensuring all feedback responses are in line with our policy as well as regulatory requirements. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

  • High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent required. 
  • Post secondary training in hospitality management is an asset, preferred. 
  • Must be able to read and write and understand oral and written instructions.
  •  Must possess a valid, unrestricted, and insurable Michigan Driver's License in good standing (three or fewer points). 
  • Must always be clean, neat, and professional in appearance. 
  • Must have good interpersonal skills, customer service attributes and ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. 
  • Must demonstrate and always use customer friendly demeanor and etiquette. 
  • Highly trustworthy and able to deal with confidential information. Strong knowledge of local community, area, and region. 
  • Three years customer service experiences. 
  • Hospital experience preferred. 
  • Computer proficiency including email and database management skills.
  •  Knowledge of a second language is an asset.
