Step into a day where you blend precision with problem-solving. As our Industrial Instrumentation & Controls Technician, you’ll move from calibrating transmitters in the morning, to refining PLC logic after lunch, to tracing a control-circuit fault before shift’s end. You’ll partner closely with maintenance and electrical teams to keep systems safe, stable, and optimized.

  • Vanpool/shuttle – Grantsville, Tooele, Magna, Salt Lake City (near Sutherlands on Redwood Road)

What you’ll do
  • Lead with safety—ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by following all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and control issues to root cause.
  • Perform preventive maintenance checks and execute precise calibrations.
  • Keep accurate records, logs, and documentation.
  • Install new control systems and associated power wiring.
  • Install cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers (MCCs).
  • Service and replace motors and lighting as needed.
  • Execute general electrical maintenance tasks.
  • Support additional duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in oil, refinery, chemical, or steel mill environments (preferred).
  • Instrumentation and/or electrical training or degree (preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting ability, including diagnosing mechanical-related issues.
  • Willingness to work a rotating shift and overtime as needed.
