Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized nursing care to neonates ranging from 23 weeks gestation to 4 months of age.
  • Attend high-risk deliveries, including C-sections, and respond to neonatal emergencies.
  • Assess, monitor, and manage critically ill newborns requiring intensive care.
  • Operate and manage advanced life-support equipment including ventilators, oscillators, and nitric oxide therapy.
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and parenteral nutrition.
  • Assist with bedside procedures such as intubations, IV insertions, septic workups, and catheter placements.
  • Deliver respiratory support including CPAP and mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor vital signs and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
  • Educate and support families regarding neonatal care and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-3 years of NICU experience (Level III-IV required).
  • Proven experience managing micro preemies and high-acuity neonatal patients.
  • Hands-on experience with ventilators, oscillators, and vasoactive drips (pressors).
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state/district of practice.
