Clinical Laboratory Director & Vice President, Translational & Computational Pathology

Location: North Brunswick, NJ
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift | No Call | No Weekends

Position Summary
Seeking an experienced MD/DO AP/CP Board-Certified Pathologist to serve as Clinical Laboratory Director & VP of Translational & Computational Pathology. This executive leadership role oversees clinical laboratory operations, regulatory compliance, translational oncology, companion diagnostics, digital pathology, and computational pathology initiatives while collaborating with AI/ML, engineering, and research teams.

Key Responsibilities
•    Serve as Clinical Laboratory Director under CLIA. 
•    Lead laboratory operations, quality systems, accreditation, and regulatory compliance. 
•    Oversee pathology assay development, validation, and diagnostic testing. 
•    Support biomarker discovery, translational oncology, and companion diagnostic (CDx) programs. 
•    Lead digital pathology, whole-slide imaging (WSI), and computational pathology initiatives. 
•    Collaborate with pharmaceutical, research, AI/ML, and engineering teams. 
•    Provide scientific and strategic leadership across pathology programs. 

Required Qualifications
•    MD or DO. 
•    Board Certified in AP/CP. 
•    Eligible to serve as a CLIA Clinical Laboratory Director. 
•    Active medical license (or eligible). 
•    5+ years of leadership experience in pathology, diagnostics, pharma, CRO, or academic medical centre. 
•    Experience with pathology assay development, laboratory operations, and translational medicine/clinical trials. 

Preferred
•    Translational oncology, biomarker development, and Companion Diagnostics (CDx). 
•    IHC assay development and validation. 
•    Digital/computational pathology, AI-assisted pathology, WSI, spatial biology, and multiplex tissue analysis.
