Position Summary
Provides security for patients, employees, and visitors. Protects hospital buildings, assets, and premises.
Responsibilities
  • Patrols hospital buildings and premises to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and intruders. Reports on safety and/or fire hazards or security violations. 20%
  • Controls parking and traffic flow in parking areas; enforces parking regulations. 15%
  • Secures and/or unlocks offices and facilities. Secures patient valuables or lost and found articles; maintains logs of items received. 15%
  • Monitors conduct of visitors on hospital premises; confront unauthorized people for questioning as needed. 15%
  • Responds to inquiries for advice or assistance from hospital personnel, students and visitors; aids with restraints of patients as needed. 15%
  • Transports personnel and equipment in hospital owned vehicles. Escorts personnel parking lots and hospital buildings as requested. 10%
  • Participates in investigations; maintains records and prepares incident reports and other documents pertinent to security activities. Maintains department records, reports, and files as required. 10%

Work Experience:
1 to 3 years of housekeeping experience.
Position Qualifications:
