Charge Capture Specialist I
Shift: Fully Remote – Flexible Hours
Status: Full-time
Compensation: $22.88 — $26.88

Position Purpose:- Review medical record chart, including nursing notes, progress notes, and surgical or specialty notes thoroughly to interpret and validate and/or extract all charges.
- Competent with coding ICD10 and CPT. Resolve clinical documentation and charge capture discrepancies, providing feedback to providers on the quality of their documentation.
- Perform validation of potential missing charges, coding variances and overcharges
- Conducts thorough review of medical records and utilizes coding resources to ensure that clinical documentation supports all billed charges.
- Communicates effectively with team, compliance, departments and clinical staff.
- Health Information Management or a related field required.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work in healthcare.
- Successful completion of a Coding Specialist program with eligibility to sit for credentials examination
- Familiar with revenue cycle operations and/or clinical operations, is preferred.
