Job description

American Gypsum has been manufacturing, selling, and distributing gypsum wallboard products throughout the United States for 45 years.

We are the fifth largest producer of gypsum wallboard in North America, operating five gypsum plants with an annual capacity approaching four billion square feet of wallboard. We have production plants located in Albuquerque, NM, Bernalillo, NM, Duke, OK, Gypsum, CO and Georgetown, SC.

DESCRIPTION
This position will be responsible for assisting in the production of wallboard.  Either in the wet-end process or the dry-end process.  We are one team. As such, we require flexibility in job duties.  Other duties may be assigned. Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience is a plus, but we will also train the right candidates with no previous experience.

HOURLY COMPENSATION: $28.70 - $45.38
Depending on experience and skills. This may include bonuses and/or incentives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to safely multi-task and keep up in a fast pace, active environment.
  • Participate in plant safety programs. 
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift and/or complete repetitive tasks throughout the day. Employee will be required to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical


SCHEDULE

Our production crews rotate between day shift and night shift every 4 weeks.
