Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Endoscopy RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Dallas, TX requiring at least 1 year of endoscopy experience and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Details
  • Endoscopy unit with 6 procedure rooms and 13 prep/recovery bays
  • Staffed with 12 team members including 8 nurses and 4 techs on day shift
  • Patient ratios approximately 1:1 in procedure and 2:1 in prep/recovery
  • Cares for both adult and pediatric patients
  • Performs procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and bronchoscopy
  • Uses endoscopy equipment and charts in Meditech EMR
  • Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Requires floating to IR, PACU, and Day Surgery as needed
  • On-call responsibilities include one weekend per month and one weekday per week
Requirements
  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent endoscopy experience required
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
  • One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)
Additional Information
  • Provide direct patient care during endoscopic procedures for adult and pediatric patients
  • Support a collaborative team environment within a busy endoscopy unit
  • Royal blue scrub attire required
  • Unit policy prohibits phone and earbud use during shifts, with minimal call-ins
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
