Job Title: Process Technician - Plastic Injection Molding
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Shift: 2nd shift/3rd shift
Pay: 20.00
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Process Technician with experience in plastic injection molding to support production operations. This role is responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and optimizing injection molding machines to ensure high-quality production, efficiency, and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, start up, and shut down injection molding machines and related equipment
  • Perform mold installations, removals, and changeovers safely and efficiently
  • Adjust machine parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, cycle time) to maintain quality standards
  • Troubleshoot molding issues such as flash, short shots, warping, and sink marks
  • Monitor production runs to ensure parts meet quality specifications
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance on molds and machines
  • Work closely with quality and production teams to resolve issues
  • Document process settings, production data, and any adjustments made
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment (5S standards)

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in plastic injection molding (required)
  • Strong understanding of molding processes and machine operation
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and process issues
  • Experience with mold setup and changeovers
  • Knowledge of quality control standards
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with hydraulic and electric injection molding machines
  • Familiarity with resin types and material handling
  • Preventive maintenance experience
  • Technical certification in manufacturing or plastics (a plus)
