Job description

Job Description: We are offering Best in Class Job instruction for this position. This refers to a structed method of teaching someone how to perform a task. Often using a "tell, show, do" approach, where the trainer clearly explains each step, demonstrates the process visually, and then allows the learner to practice and the task themselves, ensuring thorough understanding and proper execution.
The Receiving Trainer reports directly to the Inbound 3rd shift Manager. Provides leadership and training to the Receiving associates as needed. Responsible for completing the work of a Receiving associate. The Receiving trainer performs all Receiving functions including but not limited to: Receiving, scanning, counting, maintaining receiving documents, and unloading trucks. The Receiving lead demonstrates behavior that supports AWBC core values.
Roles and Responsibilities
Trains new receiving associates as they perform their duties.
โ€ข Receive product using an RF scanner.
โ€ข Scan or key orders per established process.
โ€ข Responsible for following all safety rules, regulations, and guidelines.
โ€ข Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
โ€ข High school diploma preferred or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
โ€ข Previous warehouse experience preferred.
โ€ข Prior experience using radio-frequency scanner preferred.
โ€ข Ability to make on the spot decisions based on training and experience.
โ€ข Operate forklift, stock picker, and walkie rider or ability to become certified to operate this equipment
Physical and Environmental Requirements
  • Stand for long period of time, up to 4 continuous hours, 8 - 12 hours during a shift.
  • Walk up to 8 miles a day. Walking short distances through the department/building.
  • Use hands/arms to operate required equipment and repetitive motion activities.
  • Lift objects up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Communicate using speech, sight, and sound with or without assistive device.
  • Bend, stoop, or crouch while performing daily activities of the job.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to work invariable work locations.
