As a CVS Health Store Manager Rx (SM, Rx), you will be a single-unit retail leader responsible for leading your team to achieve operational and service excellence. The SM, Rx will achieve success through managing, inspiring and coaching their direct reports, consisting of Front Store (FS) crew and FS management positions. The SM, Rx will lead the store team through effective communication, consistent application of SOPs and best practices, provisioning of appropriate support to all departments, and scheduling to the needs of the business. A model for all, the SM, Rx will demonstrate CVS Health's Heart At Work behaviors, HelpingWithHeart Actions, and will lead their team to do the same.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

To successfully operate their retail location, the Store Manager, Rx is specifically responsible to:

  • Cultivate and maintain a healthy talent pipeline, including oversight of front store and cross-trained colleague performance and development, contributing to career progression, involving hiring, training, performance management, and where required, termination of employment
  • Ensure appropriate staffing to operate store successfully by scheduling to demand, consistently creating and publishing the schedule 3 weeks in advance, and maintaining financial stewardship of store labor spending
  • Improve store performance measures (sales, service, loyalty, shrink, compliance, etc.) by coaching colleagues and working within the #OneTeam dynamic to identify and address barriers to operation
  • Maintain a safe and high-quality working environment that complies with all regulatory and company standards
  • Oversee timely and quality training of front store and cross-trained colleagues
  • Conduct regular check-ins with all direct reports to track business goals and maintain team engagement
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with Rx DL, Pharmacy Manager, pharmacy team and any other in-store teams (e.g., Minute Clinic, etc.) to foster a #OneTeam mentality and support a holistic total store staffing pipeline
  • Partner with FS DL to establish store priorities, implement new initiatives, and engage all colleagues
  • Act as an ambassador for CVS Health through professional behaviors and positive engagement within the community

Education:

  • High school diploma or general equivalent education (GED)

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Completion of all required training for current role within required timeframe

  • Ability to work flexible schedules including early morning and evening shifts according to store needs and operating hours; two closing shifts per week and four weekend shifts per month are required at a minimum
    • Examples:
      • Store Manager, DL EL is scheduled consistently four Saturday OR Sunday shifts each month equating to working a total of four weekend shifts per month
      • Store Manager, DL EL is scheduled a Saturday and Sunday shift in the same weekend, with two weekends on per month equating to working a total of four weekend shifts per month
  • Ability to lift and exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly to move objects to and from, including overhead lifting
  • Ability to stand and walk for an extended amount of time

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$55,000.00 - $75,000.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
