Front Desk Receptionist – VW of Orland Park
Location: Orland Park, IL | Job Type: Full-time | Work Setting: In person

About the Role
VW of Orland Park is seeking a polished, people-first Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our customers and vendors. You’ll create a welcoming experience at the showroom/service reception, route calls efficiently, and support our sales and service teams with accurate, timely administrative work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome all guests in a professional, friendly manner

  • Answer and route calls; take accurate messages and follow up as needed

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support for sales and service

  • Schedule appointments and manage calendars (service, test drives, vendor visits)

  • Assist with event coordination and store communications

  • File and maintain documents, records, and reports with strong version control

  • Proofread documents for accuracy and completeness

  • Transcribe notes and meeting minutes as needed

  • Deliver excellent customer support and resolve inquiries promptly

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

  • 1+ year in front desk, receptionist, or customer service (preferred)

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; comfortable with multi-line phones

  • Strong organization, multitasking, and prioritization skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication; professional demeanor and appearance

  • Detail-oriented with accurate data entry and record keeping

  • Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

  • Valid driver’s license (required)

  • Plus: Experience in an automotive dealership, service office/BDC, or project coordination

Compensation

  • Salary: $12.50–$16.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
