Position: Material Handler I

Pay: $15.00 - $18.50 per/Hour. Paid Weekly!

**Shift Differential:**

  • **12-Hour Day Shift: **$3.00
  • **12-Hour Night Shift: **$3.00
  • 2nd Shift: $1.00
  • 3rd Shift: $1.50

Schedule:

  • **12-Hour Day Shift: **5:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Rotating 4 days on; 4 days off

  • **12-Hour Night Shift: **5:30 PM - 6:00 AM, Rotating 4 days on; 4 days off

  • **1st Shift: **M-Fri. 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

  • 2nd Shift: M-Fri. 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

  • 3rd Shift: M-Fri. 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM

EssentialDuties andResponsibilities:

  • **Safety Commitment:**

  • - Follow all safety policies, procedures, and guidelines tomaintaina safe work environment.

  • **Shipping and Receiving:**

  • - Receive inbound inventory and verify accuracy.

  • - Place materials into designated storage locations.

  • - Pull inventory from storage to fulfill customer orders.

  • - Load materials onto trucks and trailers for outbound shipments.

  • **Material Handling:**

  • - Operate forklifts, hand trucks, cranes, and other material handling equipment to move materials within the facility and to/from trucks or trailers.

  • **Parts Cleaning and Assembly:**

  • - Clean parts using hand or pedestal grinders and other metal finishing equipment.

  • - Assemble products or kits asrequired.

  • **Quality and Accuracy:**

  • - Ensure error-free work for internal and external customers.

  • - Follow established processes to support safety and quality programs.

  • **General Duties:**

  • - Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • - Work under direct supervision.

  • - Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Basiccritical thinking skillsand strong attention to detail.

  • Ability tooperateforklifts,andmaterial handling equipment safelyMustbe able tooperateoverhead cranesutilizingpendant radio controls. Mustmaintaincertifications for required equipment.

  • Proficiencyin using a variety of hand tools.

  • Ability to use measuring tools such as tapemeasure.

  • Knowledge ofsafeand best practices for loading and unloading materials from trailers or trucks.

  • Ability to follow instructions and pre-establishedguidelines.

  • Ability to use measuring tools such as box calipers, slide dial calipers, and micrometers.

  • Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.

  • Ability to speak, write, andcomprehendconversational English.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, including walking 2-5 miles per shift.

  • Ability to bend, sit, stand, twist, and stoop repeatedly for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing 25lbs – 50lbs from floor to waist and front carry up to 25lbs– 50lbsrepeatedly per shift.

  • Ability to reach overhead, squat, kneel, and climb short ladders or steps.

  • Ability tomaintaincoordination of hand and finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects with precision.

  • Ability tooperateforklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and other material handling equipment safely.

  • Ability to read labels, follow safety instructions, and communicate effectively in an industrial environment.

  • 20/30 vision with the use of corrective lenses.

  • Subject to environmental conditionsthe occurindoors and outdoorswhich include,but not limited to:

  • Exposure to changing temperatures, loud noises, and vibration fromuseof equipment.

  • Hazards: proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, exposure to high heat, and exposure to chemicals.

  • Atmospheric conditions: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation that may affect the respiratory system or skin.

  • Oils: air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
