About Department 701 - Navy Facility Engineering & Training Technologies Group

Department 701, located at SUBASE Groton, CT, provides training support for submarines and facilities at forward sites in engineering, planning, logistics and modernization for all classes of submarines.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supervisor to lead a high-impact team dedicated to the architecture and analysis of our core business data. Your team is responsible for building the databases and analytical frameworks that our primary customers rely on to make critical business decisions.

Role Overview

In this role, you will oversee day-to-day program support operations and provide leadership, direction, and oversight to team members. This role is responsible for coordinating workload, training new hires, ensuring quality and consistency of work, and serving as the primary point of accountability for execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and guide team members
  • Assign and prioritize daily tasking and ensure timely execution
  • Provide oversight and quality review of work products
  • Provide oversight of the departmental data infrastructure
  • Interface with NAVSEA and DoD customers and support recurring meetings
  • Provide regular status updates and elevate issues as needed
  • Process Optimization to identify opportunities that automate manual reporting and streamline data collection to increase departmental efficiency.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting
  • Experience leading work, coordinating priorities, and providing guidance to others
  • 5+ years of experience planning and executing complex projects in support of submarine training facilities and training
  • Documented experience utilizing Oracle Business Intelligence suite
  • 8 or more years of documented experience working with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret security clearance

Preferred

  • Experience with Project Management/Scheduling and Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
  • Experience with EB Contracts, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Program Finance, and Planning
  • Experience with using and creating dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI
