The Day Program Supervisors is responsible to ensure the assigned program achieves the Arc Gloucesterโ€™s goals and objects, meeting all criteria necessary for success to provide direct care services and support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

Position: Exempt, Full-Time, Monday โ€“ Friday, 8am โ€“ 4:30pm, Must be available for emergency coverage beyond regularly scheduled hours. Locations available throughout Gloucester County. This position is supervised by position title. This position supervises the Assistant Supervisors, Direct Support Professional (DSP), and LPNs, if applicable. The position is supervised by the Assistant Director of Vocational / Day Program.

We are currently hiring for 2 Day Program Supervisor positions. One is for our Medical Day Program. One is for our Small Group Supported Employment Program (called Crew Labor internally). For the Medical program, we are looking for candidates with experience with more complex medical conditions, comorbidities. "Crew Labor" candidates should have experience with developing community partnerships, managing contracts, and be excited to work outside, along side the Crew Labor staff and individuals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Promotes The Arc Gloucester's mission statement and goals within the program
    • Ensures that program staff demonstrates awareness of job responsibilities
    • Ensures that program staff carries out job responsibilities in a manner consistent with The Arc Policies and Procedures, licensing/certification standards, and program specific policies and procedures
    • Responsible for writing and coordinating ISP's for any individual residing in their own home
    • Supervisory and management responsibilities including but not limited to training interviewing, hiring, evaluations, coaching and all aspects of the disciplinary process
    • Responsible for training of all program staff as needed and required by licensing agency
    • Demonstrates leadership qualities, a capacity for organization, and transmits knowledge effectively
    • Primary department, work location and schedule may vary
    • Maintain confidentiality
    • Comply with the DDD Program Manual, The Arc Gloucester Policies and Procedures Manual and applicable state, local and federal regulations, including any COVID-19 vaccination mandates & policies
    • Must cooperate and participate in reviews, investigations, and inspections, including but not limited to cooperation with the licensee and Department of Human Services staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation
    • Occasional management responsibilities, including assisting with trainings, planning, workflow, and problem solving
    • Additional responsibilities as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent, preferably in the Human Services field. Experience may be considered lieu of degree
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Proficient in basic computer, math, reading comprehension and verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of business strategies and marketing practices preferred.
  • Successfully pass initial and ongoing State/Federal Criminal Background checks, including but not limited to Fingerprinting, CARI checks, Central Registry checks, MVR and drug screens
  • Knowledge or experience with supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is required.
  • 2+ years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities required for management/supervisor positions
  • Must have a current, non-probationary driverโ€™s license with 5 points or less, and deemed acceptable to drive by The Arc Gloucesterโ€™s liability insurance company, valid in the state of New Jersey
  • Proficient in basic computer, math, reading comprehension and verbal and written communication skills
  • Successfully pass initial and ongoing Federal & State Criminal Background checks, Fingerprinting, Central Registry, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), Child Abuse Record Information (CARI), Health Screenings, Employment Verifications & References & Drug testing/ All employees must submit to a criminal background check, and be determined to be not disqualified by the Department of Human Services prior to working with individuals served, agree to have their name checked against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities, shall complete an application to have their name checked against the Child Abuse Registry Information (CARI), shall submit to drug testing conducted randomly and for cause. All employees hired after 6/15/18 shall submit to drug testing prior to employment
  • Certified in CPR/First Aid
  • Successfully complete and demonstrate proficiency in all areas of required training
