$10.25/hourFREE YMCA Membership! QUALIFICATIONS: YMCA Group Exercise Instructor Certifications or an accepted group exercise certificationBASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for the safety, education and leadership of Group Exercise class participants.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:After each class, record the number of participants in each class in the Aerobic binder.Ensure that proper safety regulations and conditions are maintained.Maintain professional conduct and neat appearance consistent with the Group Exercise Dress Policy.Maintain an alert and observant behavior at all times. Instructors must ensure all participants receive the individual coaching and guidance appropriate for their fitness level.Ensure an enjoyable, efficient and physically challenging class for all participants and incorporating modifications.Be aware of the YMCA programs and schedules and willingly share the information with participants.Instruct classes in accordance with YMCA policies, including covering all class components and using proper teaching techniques.Promote the YMCA mission at all times.Suggest improvements.Attend meetings and training sessions as required by the YMCA and your supervisor.Perform other functions as assigned, relative to the welfare of the Association.Maintaining current certifications including CPROUR CULTURE:At the Y, strengthening community is our cause.
