Job description

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth!  Rite of Passage Team is hiring for an Site Trainer at Lava Heights Academy in Toquerville, Utah
 
Lava Heights Academy is a residential treatment program that provides a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for vulnerable young women who are referred from juvenile courts and social service agencies both locally and across the country. The youth enter the program with a history of abuse, neglect, trauma, substance abuse, mental illness and violence. They graduate from Falcon Ridge Ranch as educated young women who have overcome challenges and have demonstrated making healthy choices for themselves and for their future. 
 
Pay: $50,000 per year.

What you will do: The Site Trainer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of staff training for the sites for which this position is responsible. They will schedule, oversee and provide opportunities for required annual and continued staff training necessary for compliance with licensing regulations and ROP standards. The Trainer oversees New Hire Orientation Training, Annual Recertification Training, Essential Subjects, and On the Job Training.  They Identify employees on correction/improvement plans and provide the additional training necessary to ensure the employees successfully complete the improvement plan.  They compile, log, file, and submits training documentation for the monthly Key Performance Indicators. Also assigned to assist with the administration of applications in the recruiting pool, assisting supervisors in screening applications and scheduling interview appointments. 
 
To be considered you should: ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Possess a High School Diploma – Bachelor’s Degree preferred ~ at least 4 years’ experience in residential youth treatment ~ Be familiar with ROP procedures, policies and program implementation ~ Must hold or be able to attain instructor certifications in CPR/First Aid, Crisis Intervention, Suicide Prevention, Behavior Intervention, and Essential Subjects ~ Must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver:  possess a current State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
 
Schedule: Monday – Friday ~ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
