About the Role:

The Preschool Aftercare Instructor plays a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for preschool-aged children during after-school hours. This position is responsible for supervising children, facilitating age-appropriate activities, and supporting their social, emotional, and physical development outside of regular school hours. The instructor ensures that each child feels valued and cared for while promoting positive behavior and cooperation among peers. They collaborate with parents and school staff to maintain consistent communication about children's progress and any concerns. Ultimately, the role contributes to the overall well-being and growth of young children by creating a structured yet enjoyable aftercare experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience specifically in aftercare or extended day programs.

  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.

This includes attending required trainings. reporting suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and adhering to procedures that minimize risk. Supervisors are also responsible for providing oversight, feedback, and accountability to ensure staff and volunteers follow these standards.
