Matheny Medical and Educational Center has a career opportunity for a Full Time Adult Instructor at our Adult Day Program in Hillsborough, NJ. This position operates Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm. An Adult Instructor offers the opportunity to plan and facilitate meaningful client program activities in a fun and safe environment.

The Instructor will have the autonomy to provide daily activities based on personal creativity, interests, and skills to match the Day Program client needs for optimizing their personal well-being. The Instructor will work independently with a small group of clients or collaborate with other Instructors during larger scale activities or special events. Enriching Lives. Growing Abilities Duties of this position include: Addresses the needs of the patient population in an age appropriate manner. Identifies the needs of patients through on-going assessments, instructional methods, and monitoring programs.

Provides instructional programs which meet the individual needs of patients. Completes program documentation in accordance with divisional requirements; maintains patient files containing current information related to the patient's program. Responsible for case management of assigned patients; Reviews all documentation generated by team members; Facilitates progress meetings and creates reports.

Consults with other members of the interdisciplinary team to assemble information consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient; Ensures appropriate instruction is integrated into the patients' overall programs. Provides additional training in areas outside of specialty instruction.
