Job description

We are currently seeking a full time compassionate and vibrant Skills Instructor to join our Career Services program in Burlington, MA. As a Skills Instructor you will provide day to day learning and enlightenment through your direct work with our individuals within the day program.
40 hours per week, Program hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
  • Provides personal care and assistance to individuals consistent with both their physical needs and defined support plans.
  • Participates in the development and direct implementation of the Individual Support Plan, write annual assessments and goals and attend team meetings as scheduled. Implements clinical and behavioral treatment plans, record target behaviors on data sheets and participate in clinical consultation as needed.
  • Develops and implements community-based activities that promote personal choice, community inclusion, dignity, and respect while enhancing personal and vocational skill development.
  • Provides direct employment support and on the job training both in house and in the community.
  • Assists individuals in community employment, including training in soft skills, on the job training and acting as a liaison with employers and potential employers.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. BA/BS and/or one-year previous work experience in human service setting preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Adequate skills and ability to use computer for documentation, email communication and on-line training.
  • Acceptable CORI report and suitable fingerprint results required.
