General Purpose
Supports the program instructor in classroom management and the delivery of related training curriculum and assists students in attaining the knowledge and skills needed to complete the training program and succeed in the career for which they are training.
Schedule
15-20 hours per week; mostly evenings but some days needed
Job Focus
  1. Instructs students, evaluates student learning, and maintains student records in the designated student information system.
  2. Delivers instruction using designated course curriculum and assessments.
  3. Fosters teamwork, communication and respect.
  4. Promotes job readiness, encourages professionalism and good work habits, and assists students in seeking and finding employment.
  5. Maintains a safe, clean and orderly training area by: ensuring there are adequate supplies to support continuous instruction; monitoring responsible use of supplies and equipment; and requesting and maintaining equipment as appropriate.
  6. Orients new students to classroom facilities, technology, and program/classroom performance and behavior expectations, procedures, and safety.
  7. Advises students regarding appropriate course selection and graduation requirements.
  8. Addresses and resolves issues affecting student success, coordinating with Student Services when appropriate.
  9. Communicates institutional and program information to other program faculty and program support personnel.
  10. Communicates and collaborates with other College divisions and departments to achieve success on projects such as marketing, public relations, grant writing, and programmatic and institutional accreditation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years of experience directly related to master esthetics
  • Must have a current Master Esthetician's license
  • Laser experience preferred
  • Required to hold or obtain industry certification and or meet accreditation standards relevant to the program.
  • Must show competence in the technical skills in Master Esthetician training and demonstrate ability to independently provide on-going coverage in the absence of the instructor.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism with colleagues and students.
