CALMRA, Inc. is a community based residential service provider. We provide homes and services to adults with cognitive disabilities in Prince George's and Montgomery Counties.
The mission of CALMRA, Inc. is to improve the lives of persons with cognitive disabilities by providing the highest quality residential and other support services in an ethical and loving environment.
Job Description
1.Assists in nursing assessment of Day Program Participants requiring 45 day assessments; as directed. Includes review of charts, collecting data, observation and examination of the participant, identification of any changes in the participant's symptoms or behavior, administration and medication monitoring, administration and documentation on the Medication Administration Record (MAR) of medications given to participants, administration and documentation on the MAR of tube feedings given to participants, and administration of nursing care and/or treatments.
2.Evaluation for consistency of data among MARS, Physician Medication Order Forms, and labels on medication.
3.Contacting the RN and Day Program Director if medications have expired or need to be refilled.
4.Verification of safe storage of medication
5.Verification of an appropriately stocked First Aid Kit
6.Responsible for documentation or verification of documentation of those records with which the LPN has had contact.
7.Documentation of any nursing care given to a participant.
8.Communicates immediately with Director, RN, PA, CLS, or house staff responsible for the participant any symptoms or behaviors that a participant may be exhibiting and may require medical intervention. Reports any injuries and Identify and communicate any intervention needed for the safety/ well-being of the clients to the Day Program Director, RN to Director, staff, RN, PA, and CLS
9.Train/supervise staff in the area of Medication Administration, tube feedings, and other delegable nursing care after RN approves training program. Documentation of training.
10.Provide information and teaching in health care related areas to participants as needed
11.Monitor and observe the day program clients in their environment.
12.Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
2 years experience in the field is required
LPN License is required from an accredited school for Practical Nursing.

4 hours per day 10AM-2PM
Pay Rate 17 Per Hour
