Job Description Electrical Engineer - Virginia Beach, VA Location: Virginia Beach, VA - office-based with potential regional project travel. An established EPC firm is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join their Virginia Beach office. This role will involve providing electrical engineering and design support for water and wastewater facility projects.

The candidate will occasionally serve as the lead electrical engineer and will support both local and regional projects as needed. Take on challenging assignments while having access to the tools and support needed to succeed. Join a growing team of electrical engineers and technical professionals across multiple offices. Key Responsibilities: Design medium and low-voltage electrical power systems, generators, motor controls, VFDs, lighting, and associated equipment for water and wastewater facilities.

Prepare and tailor project specifications to meet project requirements. Lead multiple projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule. Conduct site visits from design through construction phases.

Perform electrical design using AutoCAD and/or Revit. Conduct power system analyses with SKM or ETAP as required. Handle construction administration tasks including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and preparing change orders.

Attend factory testing for electrical equipment as required. Support field testing and start-up of electrical systems. Represent the electrical discipline in client meetings and coordinate with other engineers and contractors.

Mentor junior electrical staff. Assist with business development, including proposal and scope preparation. Manage select electrical projects as the project lead.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. 5-14 years of experience in industrial electrical engineering and design. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in at least one U.S

state, with the ability to obtain additional state licensure if needed. Proficient with SKM or ETAP for power system studies. Skilled in AutoCAD and/or Revit BIM software.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective client and team interaction. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the water and wastewater industry.

Familiarity with Bluebeam and Bluebeam Studio. Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, including operator interfaces and PLCs.
