The Templator / Field Measure Technician is responsible for performing accurate field measurements and digital templating for countertop installations using company-approved systems and processes. This role works closely with homeowners, builders, sales, fabrication, scheduling, and installation teams to ensure projects move efficiently from measurement through installation.
This position serves as a key connection between the customer jobsite and the fabrication shop by ensuring all measurements, specifications, and jobsite details are accurate and complete prior to production.
Requirements
- ย Perform on-site digital templating and measurements for countertop installationsย
- Verify cabinet layouts, dimensions, appliance specifications, sink information, and jobsite readiness prior to fabricationย
- Submit accurate templates, measurements, and job details for production
- Communicate with customers, builders, fabrication, and installation teams regarding jobsite conditions or discrepancies
- Identify and escalate issues that may impact scheduling, fabrication, or installation
- Maintain daily schedules and provide customer updates throughout the day
- Operate company vehicles safely and maintain company equipment
What We're Looking For:
- High School Diploma or GED requiredย
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record requiredย
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret measurements and layoutsย
- Ability to work independently and manage daily schedules efficientlyย
- Strong communication and customer service skillsย
- Basic computer and mobile technology skills requiredย
ย Preferred Experience:
- Countertop templating experience preferred
- Candidates with cabinetry, carpentry, flooring measurement, construction layout, installation, or related field service experience are encouraged to apply
- Experience using digital measuring or templating systems is a plus
