Job description

Overview

We are seeking Software Assurance & Security (SAS) engineers (multiple openings at the CS2/CS3 level) to join our Rogue team supporting the development of advanced capabilities across wireless and mobile environments. This team designs, builds, and enhances mission-critical tools used in direct support of U.S. national security initiatives.

This role is ideal for engineers who thrive at the intersection of low-level development, cybersecurity, and wireless communications—where precision, innovation, and real-world impact are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance software capabilities targeting wireless and mobile systems
  • Perform vulnerability research, exploit development, and capability integration in CNO environments
  • Analyze and manipulate network traffic across wireless protocols (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular)
  • Reverse engineer mobile applications, firmware, and embedded systems
  • Work with low-level system components, including operating systems, drivers, and network stacks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and refine mission capabilities
  • Support testing, debugging, and optimization of tools in operational environments
Required Qualifications
  • Professional experience in software development or a closely related field
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or Computer Network Operations (CNO) development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • Experience working with iOS internals (e.g., kernel, system frameworks, memory management)
  • Demonstrated reverse engineering experience (applications, binaries, or firmware)

Requirements

Desired Technical Skills (Wireless & CNO Focus)
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, Python, and/or Objective-C/Swift
  • Experience with low-level development (kernel space, embedded systems, or firmware)
  • Familiarity with wireless communication protocols:
    • Wi-Fi (802.11), Bluetooth/BLE
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, packet structures, routing, and network analysis
  • Experience using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, Ghidra, IDA Pro, Burp Suite, or similar
  • Knowledge of exploit development, debugging, and vulnerability analysis
  • Experience with RF concepts and wireless signal analysis (SDR experience is a plus)
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix-based systems and development environments
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and common vulnerabilities (buffer overflows, memory corruption, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in mobile or embedded security environments
  • Background in firmware analysis or hardware/software integration
  • Exposure to Software Defined Radio (SDR) tools (e.g., GNU Radio, HackRF, USRP)
  • Familiarity with mobile OS security models (iOS, Android)
  • Prior experience supporting national security or classified mission environments

Benefits

  • 401K: up to 3% discretionary profit sharing contribution + 100% match on the 1st 7% of pay
  • PTO: 20 days per year
  • Healthcare, dental, vision, Free for a single participant
