Job description

Machine Operator – 2nd Shift & 3rd Shift

Location: Lake in the Hills, IL
Compensation: $16.75/hr + $2.50 second shift differential or $3.00 third shift differential

Do you want to work in a hands-on environment where you will work alongside others to make products used in well-known companies? At AFC you will be able to assist other workers in the fabrication process, you will get the experience of working in a manufacturing company, and be able to learn while on the job. As a Laminated Parts Machine Operator, you will operate presses and ensure they run continuously throughout the shift.

What You’ll Do

· Operate and perform changeovers on machinery to produce laminated parts

· Keep machines running smoothly by coordinating with fabricators and supervisors

· Monitor material levels and communicate needs to the appropriate team members

· Follow production schedules and work orders with minimal supervision

· Conduct quality checks and assist in resolving product issues

· Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and tools

· Track inventory and participate in cycle counts as needed

· Recommend and support process improvements

· Rotate between workstations based on production needs
