Electrical Engineer
Location: Oak Brook, IL
Work Schedule: Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote

About the RoleWe are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and execution of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare, and mission-critical projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical design experience, knowledge of electrical codes, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
Key Responsibilities- Design electrical power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Perform electrical calculations, load analysis, and system studies.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure designs comply with NEC, local building codes, and industry standards.
- Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities.
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
- Participate in project meetings and provide engineering support throughout project execution.
- Assist with field investigations, site visits, and project commissioning activities as needed.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and engineering records.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of electrical engineering experience.
- Experience designing electrical systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, higher education, data center, or institutional projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ability to perform electrical calculations and system analysis.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with 4 days per week onsite in Oak Brook, IL.
Preferred Qualifications- Professional Engineer (PE) license or PE-track candidate.
- Experience with SKM PowerTools or similar power system analysis software.
- Experience with Bluebeam.
- Knowledge of Chicago Electrical Code.
- Experience supporting large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects.
Compensation & Benefits- Competitive base salary: $95,000 - $135,000

Location RequirementThis position is based in Oak Brook, Illinois. Candidates must currently live within a reasonable commuting distance and be available to work onsite four days per week. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
