In this role, you will design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure and Azure Virtual Desktop environments that power mission-critical operations for our customer. You'll bring hands-on expertise in infrastructure-as-code provisioning and drive automation efforts while operating in a secure environment. Successful candidates will already be comfortable operating in a DoD classified setting from day one. If you have deep, production-level Azure experience and want to work in a secure, high-trust environment where that expertise really matters, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Azure Infrastructure and IaC

  • Deploy and manage Azure resources via Infrastructure as Code, using Bicep as the primary tool, with supporting knowledge of JSON, YAML, and PowerShell.
  • Provision and maintain core Azure resources including storage accounts, Key Vault, virtual machines, VNets, subnets, and network security groups.
  • Maintain version-controlled, repeatable infrastructure deployments aligned with DoD security baselines.

Azure Virtual Desktop

  • Deploy and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including host pools, application groups, and workspaces.
  • Build and maintain golden images using Packer via automated pipelines.
  • Rotate AVD session host images using Azure DevOps pipelines on a recurring basis.

CI/CD Pipelines and DevOps

  • Build and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines to automate infrastructure provisioning and application delivery.
  • Support application deployment into Azure environments and troubleshoot deployment and operational issues.
  • Enforce consistent, traceable configuration across environments.

Migration and Application Support

  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues and document resolution procedures.
  • Coordinate with onsite and remote teams to validate configurations and ensure operational handoff readiness.
  • Automation and Scalability
  • Develop automation solutions to reduce manual intervention and improve deployment reliability.
  • Scale infrastructure to meet evolving customer workload and performance requirements.

  • Hands-on experience deploying Microsoft Azure Infrastructure via Bicep or Terraform.
  • Demonstrated experience with Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Experience building golden images with Packer and rotating them via automated pipeline.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related Field AND 3+ years leadership experience in relevant area of business OR equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years demonstrated performance in related technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with container operations in Kubernetes or AKS environments.
  • Ansible or PowerShell automation experience.

Requirements:

  • Must be within driving distance of Beavercreek, OH OR willing to relocate there (relocation packages available).
