  • Implement programs and activities in areas such as tutoring, technology, games, health and recreation, arts and crafts, etc. for youth of all ages
  • Supervise and monitor program areas to ensure safety of members
  • Develop, post and follow weekly lesson plans under the direction of Program and Education Directors
  • Participate in staff meetings and collaborate with the Club team
  • Provide supervision in various program areas
    • Promote and stimulate program participation
    • Create opportunities for development of strengths and competencies
    • Provide guidance and role modeling to members

PREPARE YOUTH FOR SUCCESS:
  • Know the Youth Development Strategy - Instill in youth a sense of Belonging, Usefulness, Influence and Competence (BUIC).
  • Create opportunities for development of strengths and competencies

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • May participate in special programs and/or events
  • May be required to be a monitor on the bus
  • Complete trainings as required by licensing agency
  • May be required to help out in multiple areas as needed
  • Clean area and bathrooms as needed at the end of day
  • May be required to work at other club locations

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience working with children
  • Knowledge of youth development
  • Knowledge of Department of Education/DHS Licensing Requirements
  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
  • Ability to deal with the general public
  • Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth
  • Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth
  • Must be flexible and be able to work well with other team members
  • Ability to multitask
  • Problem solving skills
  • Must be CPR and First Aid Certified

EMPLOYMENT SCREENINGS:
  • Must pass local, state and national criminal background checks
  • Must pass TBI and DHS fingerprinting
  • Must pass drug screening and pre employment physical

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs
  • Must be able to move quickly to keep up with youth
  • Must be able to remain alert and energetic for 8 hours or more
  • Must have clear vision and hearing to monitor children's safety and respond to their needs

REQUIRED DATES
  • Employees will be required to attend in person training the week of May 19th. Exact dates and times will be provided upon hire.
