Job description

The Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery at Loma Linda University in Southern California is seeking a fellow in Facial Plastic Surgery & Advanced Rhinologic Surgery. This is a one-year fellowship with broad, high-volume academic referral practice focusing on Nasal Surgery; mission electives are strongly encouraged.

Our department features 4 full-time, fellowship trained Rhinologic and Skull base surgeons in addition to 3 facial plastic surgeons. The fellowship experience is focused on Nasal Surgery with high-volume endocsopic sinus surgery, anterior skullbase, and selected reconstructive rhinoplasty cases.  Nasal trauma and facial trauma will also be an integral component of this fellowship training opportunity.  Broad training in both Facial Plastic and Advanced Rhinology is available, although reconstructive cases are prioritized over cosmetic and clinic-based procedures. 

The fellow works at Loma Linda University assisting faculty with cases. Fellows choose their cases to ensure a balanced, fellow-directed experience. Intraoperative resident teaching is expected. Multidisciplinary Skullbase Tumor Board is required and reading opportunities from standardized curriculums are encouraged.

Pay and full benefits are offered through the department at a salary level concordant with PGY-6 salaries at our institution. Additional compensation from elective call opportunities or satellite clinics exist if interested.

Compensation & Benefits

The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $90,000 – $104,000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans. More information on compensation is discussed with the departments during the recruitment process.
