Jobs can be designed using the graphical interface and executed in parallel for optimized performance. There are different types of jobs in DataStage, such as parallel jobs, server jobs, and sequence jobs, each serving different purposes in ETL workflows.

Summary

Huntington Bank is seeking a hands-on QA Test Automation Lead to support Enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Lake initiatives. This role combines QA leadership, ETL testing, SQL-based data validation, and test automation. The ideal candidate has deep experience testing data pipelines and integrations, leading QA efforts, and driving process improvements through automation and innovation. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead QA activities across Data Warehouse and Data Lake projects.
  • Create test strategies, test plans, and testing status reporting.
  • Coordinate testing efforts across QA resources and project teams.
  • Execute and oversee ETL, data integration, system integration, regression, and UAT testing.
  • Perform source-to-target validation, data reconciliation, and data quality testing.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot data issues using SQL.
  • Validate data mappings, transformation logic, and business requirements.
  • Support and expand test automation solutions.
  • Utilize Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and macros, for data comparison and validation.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline testing processes, documentation, and reporting.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of ETL testing experience in a Data Warehouse or Data Lake environment.
  • 5+ years of SQL experience.
  • 2+ years of Snowflake experience.
  • 2+ years of AWS experience.
  • 2+ years of Python experience.
  • 2+ years of QA Lead experience coordinating testing activities.
  • 1+ year of hands-on test automation experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with source-to-target validation, data reconciliation, and data quality testing.
  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Experience working in Agile teams.
  • Banking or financial services experience.
  • Experience with DataStage, Informatica, AWS Glue, or similar ETL tools.
  • Experience designing, implementing, or expanding automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience establishing a test automation suite for a team or application.
  • Experience with PyTest, Selenium, DBT tests, or similar automation tools.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD processes.
  • Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, including star schemas, fact tables, dimension tables, and data lineage.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes, documentation, and team efficiency.
