We are currently seeking an accomplished Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team to support multiple software products and brands across the organization, such as Debt Solution, CoStar Suite, LoopNet, Apartments.com, Homes.com, and Ten-X. This position is located in Arlington VA and offers a schedule of Monday through Thursday in office and the option to work from home Friday. Responsibilities Ownership and pride in performance and its impact on company's success and can work in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple software products and brands across the organization. Automating and leveraging DevOps principles, always striving for operational excellence with infrastructure-as-code mentality. Continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) using latest DevOps tools and innovative methods Works well in a team environment as an individual contributor An individual who is comfortable in a development and operations role Communicate and collaborate well with teams in IT and business organizations within the company Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms (e.g., EKS, AKS, GKE, or on-prem Kubernetes) Support application deployments across cloud and on-prem environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability Diagnose and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues across distributed and microservices-based systems Be a critical thinker with good problem solving and time management skills and an ability to multi-task Strong communication skills, expresses oneself clearly both verbally and in writing. Provides help to management, including hiring, on-boarding, training and performance reviews. Motivates team members and assesses performance, keeps management updated on team performance. Basic Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited, in-person, not for profit university or college A track record of commitment to prior employers 5+ years' experience with managing heavy web traffic sites using mass scale architecture with a developer focus Solid sizing and estimation techniques for small to medium size tasks and projects Infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Terraform or similar platforms Some experience in AWS or Azure or Google cloud Experience with enterprise monitoring tools in areas of APM, system vitals, synthetics, and RUM. Heavy scripting support (PowerShell), Bash, Ruby, Groovy Experience with any SQL or No SQL databases Experience configuring Content Delivery Networks (CDN) for performance caching and global traffic management. Familiarity with infrastructure foundation components of large networks in AWS and on-prem (e.g., systems & network administration, DNS, hypervisors, containers, databases, multi-datacenters). Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production environments Experience with application deployment strategies (rolling, blue-green, canary) and production troubleshooting in containerized environments Preferred Skills and Qualifications Programming languages / some developer background with either Java, C#, Python,NodeJS Server-less architecture methodologies Familiarity with PCI compliance and remediation Mobile application support (iOS, Android) Experience in REST API or Microservices development Agile methodologies and working on short sprint cycles Experience with Kubernetes observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and centralized logging (e.g., ELK stack). Experience managing Kubernetes deployments using Helm or similar package management tools.
